The thunder of NATO cannons in Ukraine, the rift of a televised genocide from Palestine, the shadow of military intervention looming over the Sahel, and the growing geostrategic tensions in the South China Sea are not isolated phenomena or whims of history. They are the most evident and brutal manifestations of a systemic logic that, far from disappearing, defines the map of the 21st century with renewed virulence. This logic has a name that for decades has been relegated to the attic of history by hegemonic thought, but which today resonates with an inescapable urgency: imperialism.
